How to make a contact group on an iPhone to message multiple people

iPhone has a bunch of cool features, but few are as useful as contact groups. As of iOS 16, Apple lets you pool contacts together into groups, making it easy to spam out messages to family, friends, or colleagues without needing to tinker with a bunch of clunky settings. You don't even need any extra software or apps – as long as you're running iOS 16 or later, you can quickly make a contact group on your iPhone.

There are a lot of unique things you can do with the Messages app on your iPhone and iPad. In iOS 17, there's even more, such as creating your own iMessage stickers. You can also edit and unsend messages, along with the option to filter unknown senders. Managing your contacts and messages can be a pain, but if you know how to take control of the settings at your disposal, it doesn't have to be.

iPhone 15 Pro vs. iPhone 15 Pro Max: what’s actually different?
Renders of the iPhone 15 Pro next to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The release of the iPhone 15 last year brought the usual flurry of interest on the new models, with people wondering whether the iPhone 15 Pro was worth the higher cost over the base iPhone 15. And the Pro versus Pro Max issue is more difficult to decide this time around. While previous iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max models were virtually identical expect for their size, with the iPhone 15 series, things have changed. Is the iPhone 15 waterproof? Read this before getting it wet
Back of the yellow iPhone 15.

The iPhone 15 is one of the top phones out right now, and it has pretty solid built quality and resistance to typical use. Like many modern phones, it's designed with a water resistance rating -- but that doesn't mean it can survive being full submerged in your pool. An Ingress Protection (IP) code will tell you about a phone's  water and particle resistance, making it easier to compare different models. So, what does this all mean for the iPhone 15 series?
Are the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus waterproof?

Like their predecessors, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have an IP rating of IP68. The digits in this rating indicate the device's resistance to solid particles and liquids. The first number represents the phone's solid particle resistance on a scale of zero to six. The second number rates its liquid resistance from zero to nine. These ratings show that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are highly resistant to solids and liquids.
