How to multi-class in Baldur’s Gate 3

If you're familiar with the mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons then you will be happy to know that the ability to multi-class exists in Baldur's Gate 3. For those who may not be as familiar, this allows you to divide your points between two classes instead of sticking to the one you chose at the start of the game. This is primarily intended for experienced players who want to fully maximize their builds, while new players may want to shy away on their first playthrough, or at least use a guide to avoid ruining their build and needing to respec and start over. Multi-classing is easy to do, but not explained, so here's how you can expand your skillset between two classes in Baldur's Gate 3.

How to multi-class

You can choose to begin multi-classing anytime you level up in Baldur's Gate 3 after starting the game and earning your first level. You can only do this when you have a level-up available, so make sure to remember to do so when you have the opportunity.

Step 1: Finish the opening and level up by any means.

Step 2: Click on the upward arrow on your character portrait to go to the level-up screen.

Step 3: Select the button at the top right of the level up box with the image of two crossed weapons and a plus above it. When you mouse over it it will say Add Class.

Step 4: You will now be able to choose any of the classes you haven't chosen yet to multi-class in.

If you choose to multi-class, you will only level up one class at a time, preventing you from diving as deep into a single class. Keep that in mind when choosing to split your focus.

At first, you won't have much trouble keeping pace with the game as long as you pick up whatever shiny objects catch your eye as you traipse down the streets. Despite sounding like something you could snag while strolling on the beach, Beautiful Seashells are rather hard to come by naturally. If these attractive shells are what stands between you and a stronger weapon, here's where you can get some.
Where to get Beautiful Seashells

Outside of getting lucky and having a few Beautiful Seashells drop during battles, typically with higher-level enemies or bosses, you only have one reliable source for stocking up on them. During the main story, you will be brought to and introduced to the labyrinth, a randomly generated dungeon you can grind for levels, cash, and items to test out how strong your party is in the late game. As you go, you will collect Robo Discs that you can exchange with RoboMichio right outside the entrance. Among his large stock of items are Beautiful Seashells, which he sells for 500 discs each. That's not the most expensive item he has on offer, but it is a pretty high price, so it may take a run or two to get that many if you're low-level.

Upgrading your weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth makes sense for the most part. You dump in a bunch of raw materials like metals and elemental fragments and buff up the stats. Where to get Shark Fin

Unless you want to pray to the RNG gods by running the Labyrinth and hoping this material will drop, there are two places you can reliably go to buy Shark Fin. The first is the recycling center on Aloha Beach. This woman will exchange any trash you collect from the beach for points you can spend on various items in her stock. One such item is, of course, the Shark Fin. This is one of the most expensive items she has, however, so it will take a lot of trash collecting to earn enough points. You must also consider that she only has three, so you can't spend all day gathering bottles and cans to stock up.
