What’s new on Disney+ in March 2024

Taylor Swift in concert from The Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift Productions

If the entirety of 2023 didn’t convince you that Taylor Swift is the top music artist of her era, then Disney+ may sway you in March. Swift’s concert movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, is coming to Disney+ on March 15 with an expanded version that is fittingly called Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version). It’s longer, it has more songs, and the Swifties are going to love it.

Marvel fans finally have something to look forward to on a weekly basis starting in March. Unlike Echo, which was unceremoniously dumped all at once back in January, the animated series X-Men ’97 is coming out weekly starting on March 20. And since Lucasfilm isn’t done running episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, both shows will be dropping new episodes on Wednesdays.

Beyond that, Sony’s hilariously inept Morbius is making its Disney+ debut on March 1 after spending almost 18 months on Netflix. At this rate, that means Madame Web will probably follow it to Disney+ in early 2026. But as far as we’re concerned, Sony can keep that one. The rest of March is pretty light, which isn’t a good selling point if Disney expects subscribers to hang on during the periods between new Marvel and Star Wars content.

Our roundup of everything new on Disney+ in March 2024 can be found below, with our favorites highlighted in bold.

What’s new on Paramount+ in March 2024
The cast of A Gentlemen in Moscow.

It's a good time to subscribe to Paramount+ in March ... if you're on the highest tier, Paramount+ with Showtime. Somehow, it's not enough that Showtime tends gets the best movies every month, now it's getting the best series premiere on Paramount+ in March with A Gentleman in Moscow. This limited series features Ewan McGregor as Count Alexander Rostov, a Russian noble who is sentenced to house arrest after the Russian Revolution. That's not so bad when Rostov's sentence allows him to live in the luxurious Hotel Metropol alongside Anna Urbanova, who is played by McGregor's real-life wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

The two big movie premieres for the month, War Pony and Raging Grace, are also reserved for the top tier. But younger fans can enjoy the family-friendly superhero action of The Thundermans Return on all tiers. It's not as if the lower Paramount+ tiers have nothing new to watch, it's just that one tier is clearly favored over the other. To make that clear in our roundup of everything new on Paramount+ in March 2024, the shows and movies below marked with an asterisk (*) are only available on Paramount+ with Showtime. Titles marked with a double asterisk (**) can be live-streamed from CBS by Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. Our picks for the month are in bold.

What’s new on HBO and Max in March 2024
Kate Winslet in The Regime.

In March, HBO and Max embody the tale of two streaming services fused into one. On the HBO side of the equation, the premiere of the new miniseries The Regime brings Kate Winslet back to the premium channel for the first time since her Emmy-winning turn on Mare of Easttown. Additionally, Max is premiering Wonka, the hit musical that was one of Warner Bros.'s lone bright spots in 2023. More surprisingly, Disney is lending out Deadpool and X-Men Origins: Wolverine to Max just a few months before Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters.

Those are all of the good parts of March's lineup. Most of the rest comprises low-quality reality shows from the Discovery side of Max. It's truly amazing how many spinoffs Discovery can squeeze from 90 Day Fiancé, but that doesn't mean they're worthwhile. There is an audience for that programming, but it takes up a disproportionately large chunk of Max's March schedule.

What’s new on Peacock in March 2024
A family poses for a picture in Apples Never Fall.

It's going to be hard for Peacock to top its February premiere of Oppenheimer, but the NBC-adjacent streaming service actually does have a lot coming up in March. The new mystery series Apples Never Fall is dropping all of its episodes on March 14. That show has a great cast, including Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Alison Brie, and Jake Lacy. For younger viewers, DreamWorks Animation's Megamind is back on March 1 with an original movie, Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate, as well as Megamind Rules!, an original animated series.

On March 18, Peacock is premiering Stormy, a documentary about former porn star Stormy Daniels. Reality show fans can also enjoy new episodes of The Traitors UK and The McBee Dynasty: The Real American Cowboys. But it's movie fans who have a lot to celebrate this month, as the Harry Potter films, the Hunger Games movies, and the first three John Wick flicks are all back on Peacock. Granted, they probably won't be staying long, but we'll enjoy them while they're here.
